‘China Super Vocal’ is now ‘中國新歌聲’ or ‘Sing China’; kicks off on 15 July

Popular singing competition 中国好声音/ China Super Vocal is going through another name change. It is now called ‘中國新歌聲’ or ‘Sing China’, according to its facebook page.

This is the second time the show is changing its English name, originally known as ‘The Voice of China’, after some disputes over the name’s copyrights. It is not known why the show is once again changing its English name from ‘China Super Vocal’ to ‘Sing China’. At the same time, the show has also changed its Chinese name from ‘中国好声音’ to ‘中國新歌聲’.

To avoid confusion, the programme is now known as ‘中國新歌聲’ or Sing china — till the next name change, of course.

The upcoming season of Sing China (中國新歌聲) will kick off on 15 July.

The judges for this year’s Sing China are Jay Chou, Na Ying, Wang Feng and Harlem Yu. Stay tuned for updates.
