Myolie Wu signs multi-million dollar contract with Stephen Shui, Jr

by -

It’s official! Former TVB actress Myolie Wu (胡杏儿) will be joining Stephen Shiu Jr.’s (蕭定一) company, GME China.

Myolie Wu attended her signing ceremony at Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong, wearing a long, red dress and some 20-carat diamonds. No wonder the actress said it felt like her wedding.

The actress was said to be signing a 4-year contract with the company worth HK$25Million.

Previously, there were lots of speculations on the actress’ next career move after she ended her 16-year contract with Hong Kong station TVB, amid news that she was setting up a bridal studio with her business partner. When asked whether she thinks TVB will get mad with her for jumping ship, she said, “I don’t think so. I’m very grateful for the guidance TVB has given me. The station will always be my ‘maiden home’ (娘家)”.

Myolie Wu remained coy about her wedding plans with long-time boyfriend Phil Li, which is said to be in December this year but told journalists that GME would be fine if she chose to get married and start a family during her tenure there.

Seems like Myolie Wu landed herself a really good deal. Good luck, Myolie! We can’t wait to see you act again.
