‘The Voice of China 5’ (中国好声音) Singapore auditions kicks off in April

Hot on the heels of ‘I am a singer 4‘ is the ‘The Voice of China’ talent show. If you’ve been hankering for a chance to make it big in singing, then you must not miss The Voice of China 5 Singapore audition rounds starting from 2 April.

Due to a legal dispute over copyrights, season 5 of ‘The Voice of China’ will be branded as ‘China Super Vocal’ starting from the upcoming season 5. However, the Chinese title of the show will still remain as 中国好声音 ‘Zhong Guo Hao Sheng Ying’.

The Singapore auditions for China Super Vocal will be held in 5 locations including JCube and Plaza Singapura. Up to 50 participants will be shortlisted for a closed-door semi-final round on 7 May.

The finals will be held as a concert on May 21 at the Hard Rock Hotel Singapore where up to five contestants will get to advance to  the main competition. Organiser of the Singapore auditions, Eeva Chang Mei Hsiang, veteran radio DJ, said at a press conference on 18 March, that she hopes to attract 500 participants to join in the audition.

The judges of China Super Vocal are now confirmed. They are Jay Chou, Na Ying, Harlem Yu and Wang Feng. Contestants who advance to the main competition in China will get a chance to be mentored by one of the judges — including Jay Chou, of course!

To register for the audition, call 6288 3321 or 9842 3165. Registration is free. Alternatively, you may also sign up via WeChat. Search for the account eeva_chang_sg. Participants have to be 16 years old and up. If your dream is to be a singer, join in the auditions and do Singapore proud.

However, if joining a singing competition is not your thing but you still want to get in on the action, tune in to Chang’s programme on radio station 88.3 Jia FM or Eeva Production’s Youtube Channel where the preliminary rounds of the Singapore auditions will be featured.
