Bounty candy bar inspired mooncake to hit your ‘SweetSpot’

    If you like trying new mooncake flavours, check out SweetSpot’s Chewy Coconut and Cherry snow skin mooncake. The combination is inspired by Bounty bar candy, a childhood favourite of Christopher Christie, Executive Chef of Marina Bay Sands.

    The pretty new mooncake features a white chocolate ganache centre with Malibu rum (naughty, naughty), macerated maraschino cherry and filled with candied coconut flakes, white lotus seed paste and butter cake crumbs. Sounds like a pretty sugary combination to us.

    Those who prefer more balanced flavours might want to try SweetSpots’ Salted Caramel Almond Crunch instead. The creation consists of a velvety blend of salted caramel, chocolate and crunchy almonds encased in soft snow skin.

    The mooncakes ($62 for a box of 8) are available from now to 27 September 2015 at SweetSpot, Marina Bay Sands.
