What’s that lovely buttery aroma wafting out of the Takashimaya Food Hall? It’s none other than the famous Tai Cheong Bakery egg tarts!
Hailing from Hong Kong, Tai Cheong Bakery egg tarts are returning for a pop-up at the Basement 2 Food Hall of Takashimaya.
The old-school egg tarts come with a velvety smooth bright yellow egg custard and a wonderfully crumbly and crust.
The Tai Cheong Bakery pop-up here is available from now until 17 May. Expect long queues of diners eagerly waiting to get their hands on the fresh-out-of-the-oven egg tarts. If for some reason, you don’t get to try Tai Cheong egg tarts this time round, take heart, as the brand is said to be opening up a permanent store in Singapore soon. Stay tuned.
In the meantime, if you’re keen to try out other famous tarts in town, check out the newly opened Hokkaido BAKE Cheese Tart at ION Orchard.
