Upmarket Scotts Square in Orchard Road seems to be shifting its focus on food recently. Since the opening of bakery Maison Kayser during the mall’s remodelling back in 2012, Scotts Square has added tenants London Fat Duck, Time & Flow Champagne and The Coffee Academics to its F&B lineup. Two new restaurants, PizzaExpress and Paradise Teochew, will now add more culinary chops to its stable of gourmet offerings.
Since starting their first store on Wardour Street in United Kingdom 50 years ago, PizzaExpress has grown into a 500-restaurant strong organisation with outlets across Europe, Hong Kong, India and the Middle East. PizzaExpress focuses on simplicity, quality and freshness, their dough recipe for example, has been the same since their first store. Using fresh quality ingredients to produce its repertoire of handmade pizzas, salads, pastas and even gluten-free items, we look forward to satisfy our pizza cravings when it opens its first Singapore outlet at basement one of Scotts Square later this year (Q3 2016).
Paradise Teochew is another dining venture by homegrown F&B conglomerate, Paradise Group. Other than Taste Paradise and Paradise Dynasty just across the street at ION Orchard, Paradise Teochew will be another conveniently located downtown restaurant at Scotts Square’s level 3. Serving authentic Teochew cuisine, Paradise Teochew is helmed by Executive Chef Cheng Fa Kwan, who has 34 years of culinary experience. The menu will include a medley of dim sum dishes as well as seafood, poultry and meat dishes like chilled yellow roe crab, braised shark’s fin in casserole and stewed duck with yam.
“With the entry of these new dining establishments in the coming months, we are confident that our shoppers will find more reasons to engage in the quality shopping and dining experiences that Scotts Square has to offer”, said Ms Stephanie Tay, Group GM of Wheelock Properties.
