This little girl had no problems standing up to search engine giant Google when she wrote a letter to request that her dad gets a day off on his birthday.

Written in cyan-coloured crayon, Katie’s letter found its way to her father’s boss, Google’s Senior Design Manager Daniel Shiplacoff.

    Her letter reads:

    Dear Google Worker,

Can you please make sure when daddy goes to work, he gets one day off. Like he can get a day off on Wednesday. Because daddy only gets a day off on Saturday.

    From, Katie

    P.S. It is Daddy’s BIRTHDAY

P.P.S. It is summer, you know

Google responded. Have a great summer!

Not only did she manage to get her dad a day off, Google grants an entire week’s leave for dad to spend some quality family time, as seen in the boss’ reply to her letter.

    Dad’s boss wrote:

    Dear Katie,

“Your father has been hard at work designing many beautiful and delightful things for Google and millions of people across the globe,” Google boss Daniel Shiplacoff wrote back in a letter, confirmed for TODAY by a company spokesperson.

“On the occasion of his Birthday, and recognizing the importance of taking some Wednesdays off during the summer, we are giving him the whole first week of July as vacation time. Enjoy!”

Way to go Katie! Don’t every parent deserve a kid like her?
