We think you’ll love this, since Singapore is apparently way up there as one of the most passionate whisky drinking countries.
There was once a time when we were amazed with ice balls, but not any more – these incredible ice cube sculptures will blow your mind.
The series of mini ice sculptures was created by TBWA\Hakuhodo in an advertising campaign for Japan’s Suntory Whisky. The series features a wide range of ice cube designs, including the Statue of Liberty, Super Mario, and even the Sphinx.
How they did it
The ice was first chilled to a temperature of -7 degrees Celsius – to prevent it from melting – before using a method called computer numerical controlled (CNC) milling to cut the ice into these beautiful works of art, based on a 3-D design that’s fed to the CNC router through a computer programme. Watch the video below to see the amazing process, then scroll down to see the beautiful collection of ice cube designs. This would probably be one of the only times the ice actually gets us more excitement than the whisky.
