    Sunscreen and UV damage

Did you wear sunscreen today? No? Not even after being constantly being told about the sun’s damaging effects on our skin? Well, now, you can actually see the effects for yourself through the camera lenses of artist Thomas Leveritt.

Leveritt set up a UV camera and a screen on the streets of New York and asked several passersby if they wanted to check themselves out with it. Some people were shocked to see what the camera revealed – freckles and hidden spots under their seemingly flawless skin!

Next, he offered them sunscreen, which filters UV rays. See the difference a protective layer of sunscreen makes in the video.

So, did you wear sunscreen today?
