Universal Studios Singapore added a new roller coaster ride called Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey on Wednesday (8 Apr 2015) to mark the theme park’s 5th anniversary at Resorts World Sentosa. Themed after the famous feline, the ride is also the world’s first suspended roller coaster that took 2 years to conceptualise and build.
The new Puss in Boots ride, which is located at Universal Studios’ Far Far Away zone, can reach a maximum speed of 36 kilometres per hour and the entire ride lasts approximately 2 minutes.
Strapped into one of the Humpty Alexander Dumpty’s flying machines, riders will meet 23 animatronics characters including Puss In Boots and Kitty Softpaws during the story ride, where they will experience anti-gravity sensations.
“The overwhelming response to The Dance for the Magic Beans live street show, which premiered last September, is telling of the popularity that Puss In Boots enjoys in the region. Families and thrill-seekers alike can now ‘Ride the Movies’ onboard this new attraction, which brings to life the characters and adventures of Puss In Boots,” said John Hallenbeck, Senior Vice President of Attractions at Resorts World Sentosa.
